She worked with Krzysztof Komeda, Michał Urbaniak (her former husband), Walk Away, Gil Evans, Archie Shepp, DJ Vadim and Lester Bowie.
She went to New York in 1973 and then gave concerts all across the USA and Canada, i.a. within the Newport Jazz Festival and at the Carnegie Hall. 'Los Angeles Times' announced her as "The Best Singer of the Year" in 1979. She has recorded about 50 albums and co-operated with such eminent artists as Bobby McFerrin, Herbie Hancock, Dizzy Gillespie, Clark Terry, Ron Carter, Wynton and Branford Marsalis, Sting, Lionel Hampton. The 'Newborn Light' album, recorded with Adam Makowicz for the American 'Columbia' label, received the best possible mark of five stars in 'Down Beat', a prestigious American magazine.
