By P.M. 20 September 2006 Ivona, Princess of Burgundy, one of Polish writer Witold Gombrowicz's best plays, has recently been adapted for the opera. The idea came from composer Zygmunt Krauze. The premiere takes place Sept. 29 and 30 at the National Theater in Warsaw and it will be one of numerous events taking place during the Warsaw Autumn Festival of contemporary classical music. |
