"How young is your heart?" is the motto for events in Warsaw marking this year's World Heart Day. The event, which has been organized by the Polish Cardiological Society and the city of Warsaw Promotions Office, will take place in Pola Mokotowskie park. |

Everybody is invited to take part in a five-kilometer run through Warsaw's streets Oct 1. Both fans of jogging and those whose only running activity is chasing public transport can put their legs to the test during Run Warsaw 2006. Last year, 10,000 people took part in the Run Warsaw event. |

Ivona, Princess of Burgundy, one of Polish writer Witold Gombrowicz's best plays, has recently been adapted for the opera. The idea came from composer Zygmunt Krauze. The premiere takes place Sept. 29 and 30 at the National Theater in Warsaw and it will be one of numerous events taking place during the Warsaw Autumn Festival of contemporary classical music. |
