Businesspeople, investors, politicians, the world of culture and members of local governments will meet April 21-23 in the beautiful rooms of Dwór Artusa in Toruń, Kujawy-Pomerania province, at the 15th Economic Forum. The event was previously held in cities including Międzyzdroje on the Baltic coast and Ciechocinek, southeast of Toruń. This year, in Toruń for the first time, the forum has the motto Europa - w poszukiwaniu utraconej tożsamości? (Europe: In Search of a Lost Identity?).

As a result of financial reporting problems in the United States and Europe, Brussels took a stand to have its own common standards for the markets in the European Union. We have a common "passport" for companies wanting to list on any of the EU stock exchanges, the same standards for reporting the annual results (International Financial Reporting Standards-IFRS), and International Standards on Auditing (ISA) for ensuring compliance.

Profitable Times for OLPP

Last year was the most important in the history of Operator Logistyczny Paliw Płynnych Sp. z o.o. (OLPP-Liquid Fuels Logistics Operator, previous name: Naftobazy Sp. z o.o.). The company developed rapidly, carrying out investment plans starting with the construction of over 240,000 cubic meters of new storage capacity. This was necessary to meet the growing consumption of fuels in Poland and to ensure sufficient capacity for producers and importers of petroleum products to store their stocks as well as mandatory reserves.
