With Asian and Western fast-food joints having taken over much of Warsaw, pierogi have been left as one of the last bastions of traditional Polish cuisine. A growing number of restaurants known as pierogarnie are specializing in these dumplings, which take time and skill to prepare. Here is a selection of pierogarnie popular with Warsaw residents. Despite their name, they serve up other dishes as well as pierogi.
