Servier is the largest independent French pharmaceutical company, established in 1954 by Jacques Servier, a doctor of medicine and pharmaceutics. The company has operations in 140 countries around the world and employs almost 20,000 people, including over 3,000 in research and development. More than 25 percent of Servier's turnover is invested in research and development. Servier first appeared on the Polish market in 1992. Today Servier Polska employs almost 500.

France's Priorities for EU Presidency

France took up the rotating, six-month presidency of the European Union July 1 with a strong commitment to serving Europe. The French presidency will be listening carefully to its partners so that, within the group of 27 countries, together we can bring about further development in Europe. France intends to exercise its presidency to serve the citizens of the EU. With this in mind, France has set itself several priorities.
