Klimas Back With Haute Couture

After a hiatus of almost 10 years, Joanna Klimas, one of Poland's most distinctive and original designers, has returned to the world of fashion. The long-awaited premiere of her fall/winter 2010/2011 collection took place Jan. 28 in Warsaw's Muranów district, in the exclusive setting of the Trio apartment building.

Warsaw's Fryderyk Chopin Museum is hitting 2010 with a new look and a three-course feast for the senses: sights, sounds and interactive rooms allow visitors to experience the life and work of the great composer like never before. The new museum at Ostrogski Palace opens March 1. Curator Alicja Knast gives Alex de Moller a taste of things to come.

A brilliant musician, a pianist of world stature with excellent technical skills. Anyone claiming that Lang Lang is superficial or lacks depth or taste is an ignoramus. But I will risk the wrath of the many fans of the Chinese virtuoso by saying Lang Lang does not have a feel for Chopin's music.
