The first volume of the unusual album Jewish Irregular Publications in the Second Polish Republic in the Collections of the National Library is enjoying great interest. The 300 pages contain appeals, circulars, announcements and other publications issued by Jewish organizations and associations in Yiddish, Polish and Hebrew. Each bibliographical note has a summary in Polish and English. This richly illustrated book has several indexes-of localities, names, social organizations and names of printing houses-which makes it even more useful. The collection is a record of life of inter-war Poland-a source of knowledge about political, professional and social life.
The book is available at scientific bookstores. Orders can be placed with the National Library Publishers, tel. (+48-22) 608-25-39,
